What is terracotta louvers?
- Terracotta Louvres, also known as Terracotta Baguettes, display the same vibrant colors and sustainable design benefits as Terracotta panels, and enable more detailed designs limited only by imagination.
- Terracotta Louvres can be applied to aluminum windows to create sun shades, framed borders or privacy screens. They can be used to give an architectural flair and design to the exterior by using products such as fins or decorative columns or bars to create standout colors and shapes that give the building a unique and modern aesthetic.

Terracotta Louver System
- Leiyuan produces rectangular or curved terracotta louvers with various cross sections (e.g., oval, rectangular, square, circle and triangle sections). Terracotta louvers and baguettes are versatile and impressive. They sing and have great design aesthetic appeal when used in front of windows, balconies and glass curtain walls. Moreover, they can be used as design elements when applied in special areas, e.g. corners, parapets, outdoor ventilation facilities and parking structures. In the architectural project, terracotta louvers and baguettes were used in combination with terracotta panels to form an integral façade.
- Leiyuan's basic installation system for terracotta baguettes and louvers consists of side fixing and back fixing solutions. Terracotta baguettes and louvers can be installed at all specific angles, such as horizontally and vertically. We offer miter-cutting service for corners.

Terracotta Baguette
Terracotta Baguette Sunscreens are capable of lending a subtle variation, adding texture to a building or creating a work of art. Both energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing, terracotta sunscreens are made of extruded materials in a variety of profiles, colors and finishes.
Terracotta Sunshade
The term "baguette” is used to refer to any sunshade device with a square profile, while a "louver” refers to all other shading devices of which the sides have unequal dimensions.
What is the difference of production procedure between terracotta panels and terracotta baguette?
- The main difference is the drying procedure. Terracotta panel is dried in drying kiln for 8 hours, while terracotta baguette is dried in natural environment for 3 days.
- One side of Terracotta baguette is in touch with ceramic roller table in the firing kiln, so there will be some stains on the contact surface. (The white color material on the back of terracotta baguette is “aluminum oxide”, which prevents terracotta baguette slip on the ceramic roller table.)
- In addition, irregular terracotta baguette and four-side glazing baguette cannot be produced in roller hearth kiln. For these products, they will be produced in clay tile factory by using hanging-firing method in tunnel kiln. (Take warping baguette in American Colleague of Music for example)
