Terracotta bricks are fired-clay architectural products used to create natural color, texture and depth on exterior facades and selected interior walls. The right choice depends on the wall build-up, support method, required format, exposure and local project requirements. Choose facing bricks for conventional masonry depth, thin bricks or wall tiles for a slimmer profile, and long-format bricks for strong horizontal lines.

Confirm the wall build-up and installation approach before ordering: mortar-laid, adhered, prefabricated or mechanically supported. Coordinate the substrate, supports and fixings, joint layout, movement accommodation, drainage, corners, openings, construction tolerances, design loads and local codes. Selected dry-hang terracotta units require a compatible rail, bracket and fastener system designed for the project. Terracotta screen blocks are a separate product family for patterned, ventilated walls, while floor pavers must be selected for loading, abrasion, slip and drainage rather than treated as wall bricks.

Options vary by product series. The LOPO range includes natural fired-clay tones, glazed and special finishes, plus smooth, grooved, sanded and handmade textures. Standard and project-specific formats may be available subject to manufacturing feasibility, order quantity and sample approval. Corner, sill and other special pieces are available for selected series. Screen images are useful for initial selection, but lighting, display settings and the natural firing process can affect perceived color and texture. Approve a representative physical sample and, where appropriate, a project mock-up before final ordering.

Technical values are product- and system-specific; one value should not be applied to every terracotta brick. For the selected item, request the current product data and available test documents covering dimensions, profile, tolerances, unit weight, finish, water absorption, relevant strength, exterior-exposure or freeze-thaw data, fire information where available, fixing guidance, packing and delivery quantities. Can colors, sizes and textures be customized? Standard and project-specific options may be available depending on the selected series, profile, quantity, production process and sample approval. Can the same brick be used on walls and floors? Not automatically—loading, wear, slip, drainage and installation requirements differ.
